About us

Skål International Prague (Club Nr. 626) was founded in October 1995. It was  the first Club in the former communist countries in Central Europe. At present, our Club has members from all fields of tourism industry and we are having events on monthly basis. In addition also special events. In 2020 the Club started a modernization and adaptation to the new era of tourism and traveling.

We are a part of the world wide network of Skål International. And we are very proud to contribute to connecting tourism globally. We think that tourism professionals should not only but especially nowadays, struggling from the pandemic measures applied to travel&tourism, keep united and seek for a common ground for the future-business.

Therefore our motto is: Doing business among friends!

Founded in 1934, Skål International is the only professional organization promoting global Tourism and friendship, uniting all sectors of the Tourism industry. Its more than 12823 members, entailing of industry’s Managers and Executives, meet at Local, National, Regional and International levels to do business among friends throughout more than 335 Skål Clubs along 99 countries.

Skål International is an Affiliated Member of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). UNWTO’s mission is to promote the development of responsible, sustainable and accessible Tourism, and is adhering to the Global Code of Ethics.

The organization also supports the Sustainable Tourism-Eliminating Poverty Initiative (ST-EP). Also it is affiliated with other international organizations of relevance in the sector, such as PATA, IIPT, The Code, ECPAT, ICTP and STI, with which it works to achieve the balance between the economic, social and environmental.
